Charnwood House Common Area

The aim of the service is to provide planned and flexible support to people with Mental health problems and homeless people with support needs aged between 16 and above, who are either care leavers or who meet the admissions criteria in an other respect.

The staff supports people with mental health problems and homeless people with support needs to gain social and practical skills in order to become independent.

The service has individual furnished accommodation rooms, which are let on a Bed and Breakfast and full board.

The services will work with people with mental health problems and homeless people with support needs to secure permanent appropriate move on accommodation.

 

The Housing Rules and procedures whilst ensuring the safety within the service will encourage the independence and decision making of service users. Monthly meetings for service users involve service users participation, consultation and involvement in the running of the project.

Service users are also encouraged to plan their support and give feedback to the staff delivering and managing the service in order to participate in the development of an appropriate service.

All service users will be offered support in moving on and assistance with resettlement where necessary.

It is not designed to offer emergency housing or 24hr direct access but can respond quickly and flexibly when needed.
